7.0/10
I had a generally nice stay at Mantra Port Sea, primarily due to its fantastic location and the great amenities available. The facilities were impressive, especially the three pools and the pool bar, but I was really disappointed by the limited hours of the pool bar and the lack of room service options. The cleanliness and comfort of the room were overshadowed by the musty smell in the hallways and room, which could definitely be improved.
Rooms
6.0
The room was well-equipped and comfortable, but unfortunately, there was a noticeable moldy smell in the hallways and the room itself. I'd rate the cleanliness a 6 out of 10.
Service
7.0
While the service from the pool bar was excellent-shoutout to Jarryd and Jake for their great cocktails-the response from the management regarding my concerns was less than desirable.
Location
9.0
The location was one of the highlights; just a short walk to the beach and close to town. I loved that the shuttle service was reliable, making it easy to get around. I would rate this a strong 9.
Dining
5.0
Dining options could use some improvement, especially in terms of variety. Given the price we paid, I expected more than just basic snacks at the pool bar.
Facilities
8.0
The resort had an impressive setup with three pools and a spa, even though the pool bar hours were cut short. Overall, I give the facilities a solid 8.

I had a mixed experience at this resort. The location was fantastic, with easy access to the beach and a lovely pool area. However, the service left much to be desired, with limited housekeeping and uncomfortable room conditions. The amenities were great, but the dining options were quite basic.
Rooms
5.0
The rooms were very small and not very clean upon arrival, with a sagging mattress and limited natural light. It felt more cramped than expected for the price we paid.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking, especially with housekeeping not attending to our rooms and maintenance requests taking too long. A bit frustrating given the expectation of a relaxing stay.
Location
9.0
The resort is ideally located very close to the beach and a short drive to local shops and restaurants, making it convenient for family outings.
Dining
5.0
I found the dining options quite limited, especially breakfast. There were just cereals and breads, without any heartier selections, which felt inadequate.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were decent, with a lovely pool area and a spa nearby. However, the lack of a functioning lift and limited dining options detracted from the experience.

7.2/10
The hotel was quite an experience with basic accommodations that left much to be desired. While the one-bedroom superior room I stayed in was spacious and modern, offering a nice balcony view of the pool, the lack of certain amenities, like consistent Wi-Fi and proper breakfast options, made it less enjoyable. On the other hand, the pool area was a highlight, although the bar's early closing time was disappointing.
Rooms
8.0
The one-bedroom superior room was modern with a good-sized balcony and a kitchenette, making it comfortable for my stay.
Service
7.0
Service was decent, with staff being helpful and friendly, but there were several areas that could use improvement, such as the limited breakfast choices.
Location
9.0
The hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the center of town, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was a bit chaotic and lacked variety, though the coffee was great. I would have appreciated more traditional options to start the day.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was enjoyable, although I found it a bit frustrating with the adjacent units using the space for their personal items.

7.6/10
Overall, my stay was quite pleasant, thanks to the cozy rooms and the lovely pool area. The staff were friendly, but the breakfast got repetitive after a few days. I appreciate having a kitchenette in the room, but there are some maintenance issues that should be addressed, like cleanliness and furniture condition. Wi-Fi issues were also a hassle during my stay.
Rooms
8.0
The rooms were lovely and spacious, equipped with cooking facilities and comfortable beds. However, there was a stale smell after being closed up for a long time.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally helpful and friendly, but I felt they could have been a bit more welcoming and attentive to guest needs.
Location
9.0
The location was convenient, just a short walk to the beach and main shops, which I really appreciated.
Dining
6.0
The continental breakfast was nice, but it became a bit monotonous after a while due to the limited variety offered.
Facilities

The pool area was fantastic and well-maintained, providing a family-friendly atmosphere. However, the furniture by the pool was worn out.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel, which was a perfect base for exploring the Barrier Reef. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the spacious pool area along with a decent breakfast. Although it was a bit of a trek to reach some amenities, the helpful staff made up for it. A minor drawback was the lack of a full restaurant on-site, but there were plenty of great dining options nearby.
Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and comfortable with a pleasant tree outlook, though it felt a bit dated in some areas. It was spacious enough for our family, but the bed could have been more comfortable as it was made of two singles joined together.
Service
9.0
The staff was excellent-friendly, welcoming, and eager to assist with any needs we had, including organizing our activities.
Location
8.0
While the hotel isn't right in town, I found it very walkable, with a pleasant 15-minute stroll to the main street and the beach just a short walk away, which was quite enjoyable.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was quite good, but I did miss having a full restaurant to dine at, as the snack bar options were somewhat limited.
Facilities
8.0
The pool area was fantastic and well-kept, perfect for lounging and cooling off after a day of exploring. The gym was small but adequate.
